"Deeper Dimensions"

"As it usually happens, after a period of time working on a series, the energy shifts and the changes begin to appear in my work.

I concentrated on the "Color Expressions" for about a year and then I realized that more and more form and pattern was developing.  I was still using the same mixed media technique, but I felt moved to add collage, gold leaf and carving into the wax in the panels.  It really wasn't a conscious decision, but it was as if I could no longer produce the simple organic layers of Color Expression.  "Deeper Dimensions" and more layering was challenging my technical abilities.  More time and physical energy was going into each piece.

Now it is as if I am an observer in the studio, except that when a creativity problem appears and I have to be the one to solve it.

Change is a part of growth and my life in Mexico is directly affecting my senses.  I love the textures and colors I experience every day.  The history and antiquity add to the richness of my life and it is all influencing my work in this latest series."
