Figurative Oil and Cold Wax

Oil paint and cold wax is blended to create a layered matte surface. I paint on cradled board, panel and paper. Since no heat is used, it can be used with less ventilation than encaustic. The cold wax paste is mixed with oil paints and is moved, scraped and manipulated to build many layers of colors and texture.
