Women Who Changed the World
no interest time payments available

I spent weeks researching the women I chose for this series. I learned a lot and realized how many more women I didn't include. Throughout history, many of their efforts and accomplishments were either over looked or diminished. I feel it is time to honor them and refresh our memories about what they all added to this world

I worked over abstract encaustic paintings that no longer pleased me. It was something different to work in oil over the encaustic base. I carefully fuse at least the first layer of paint into the wax base, in front of the fans and wearing a heavy duty mask. I am sure that process is quite toxic, but necessary to make a permanent bond. I then can continue working in oils, building textures and scraping back into the encaustic.
