Transformed Portraits
NO INTEREST TIME PAYMENTS AVAILABLE

I love painting faces. I have studied faces and have been drawing and painting faces since I was a little girl. In this series, I worked from collected photographs. The women's faces were beautiful and although I enjoyed re-creating their faces, I felt I wanted something more interesting and new. I started with painting the faces with oil paint and after the paint was dry I covered the image with clear encaustic medium. Then I could apply transfers and India ink stenciling to add pattering and then raised cold wax stenciling to add texture.
