Transformations

The butterfly is a symbol of transformation because of its impressive process of metamorphosis. From egg, to larvae (caterpillar), to pupa (the chrysalis or cocoon) and from the cocoon the butterfly emerges in her unfurling glory.
What a massive amount of transition this tiny creature undergoes. Consider for a moment the kind of energy this expends.

I am using the butterfly in this series as a symbol to remind us to study how the changes in our lives are affecting us.

This unwavering acceptance of the butterfly's metamorphosis is also symbolic of faith. Here it beckons us to keep our faith as we undergo transitions in our lives. She understands that our toiling, fretting and anger are useless against the turning tides of nature - she asks us to recognize the same.

Every era has had its changes, but I believe that now the changes in the world are happening almost overnight. Social media has taken over most lives for advancement or becoming all consuming.

I want to practice the being in the moment and consider where this escalating energy is taking me and mankind.
Every day can be a transformation.

I hope the viewer will take a moment to breath and feel.
